Churches for All is committed to running an event that models good standards of accessibility and inclusion for disabled people, subject to the limitations of the hired venue, which has been selected in part because of its generally good accessibility.
The planned accessibility provisions are …
- brochures available in 4 sizes of large/giant print, in audio (CD or download), plain text and braille
- PA and hearing loops
- BSL interpreting (regretably not all parallel sessions)
- large print and braille handouts
- good quality lighting throughout
- level/ramped access to all conference areas
- wheelchair seating area in main auditorium (free seating in other rooms)
- accessible toilets x 3
- marked ‘blue badge’ parking
- quiet room
- free enabler/carer places where they are necessary to a disabled person’s participation
- speech to text (regretably not all parallel sessions)
- assistance with booking
